Minor Leagues Are Wasted Potential
One of MLB The Show 25’s strengths is how it includes full minor league systems—but even here, Franchise Mode squanders the omlb the show stubspportunity. The minors are essentially glorified storage lockers for prospects. There’s no meaningful management, no coaching system, and very little reason to actually engage.
Why can’t we hire and fire AA/AAA managers? Why aren’t there minor league promotions or All-Star games? Why isn’t there a development plan interface where we can target skills for each player?
Games like OOTP let you dive into every aspect of farm development. In The Show, you’re lucky if a player improves at all, and even then it’s mostly just attribute randomness.
Give us training assignments. Give us individualized progress goals. Give us a reason to care about our farm system, not just wait until a guy hits 75 OVR and call him up.
